Based in Los Angeles, California, International Student Taxes (IST) is dedicated entirely to assisting international students prepare their federal income Tax returns. IST offers services meant to simplify the process of filling out a US Tax return and to help international students get the maximum savings they are entitled to, under the U.S. Tax legislation.
The challenge
IST hired us to design their web site and the complementary back-end software application in such a way as to tranform the company into a leading online service provider for International Students Tax Return preparation. The client asked us to develop an automated software application that would allow its users to effortlessly file online, their tax return. This software tool had to be seamlessly integrated with an easy to use interface and the company's web site. It had to successfully guide the company's potential customer in preparing the US federal income tax returns online, automate the proccess and perform all the necessary calculation for a complete tax return based on the user input; a well designed web site, supported by an autonomous and efficient software application.
Our solution
After extensive analyses conducted together with IST we designed a web site that not only projected our customers's desired image, but also effectively advertised the easy to use process of filling out tax returns online. We developed a business application, with unique software components, to succesfuly assist our client in delivering seamless online tax return preparation services. The site is scalable for future expansion and also provides our client with the necessary administrative tools for easy update and management. The project's outcome was a complete e-business solution, that became The "outlet" for the company's services.
